Galanthus nivalis 'Moreton Mill'
Galanthus 'Moreton Mill' is a poculiform snowdrop, a variety whose inner petals are of the same shape and length as the outer ones.
It comes from the garden of Eddie Roberts in Shropshire, England and is particularly interesting because of its flower size when compared with ordinary nivalis. The flowers are also much more voluminous, an effect that is even more impressive in combination with the fragile foliage.
The individual flowers of a group can vary greatly in size, depending on how big the bulbs are from which they arise.
In my opinion this is one of the best poculiform snowdrops and an absolute favorite.
