Galanthus plicatus 'Trympostor'

Galanthus 'Trympostor' was first presented to the public by Alan Street of Avon Bulbs in 2011 at the "Royal Horticultural Society February Show" at Vincent Square in London. The variety received a Preliminary Commendation, a so-called PC certificate.
It is a Trym-type snowdrop which is, in contrast to his parent, more vigorous and divides much quicker, so that a considerable amount of side bulbs is produced within only a few years. Although it is a simple variety in cultivation, it is still rarely seen in collections and is very sought after. Galanthus 'Trympostor' is a must for all those who like the Trym-types.
