The well-known daffodil breeder and owner of Dryad Nursery started growing snowdrops in 2006. She immediately succeeded in creating an excellent cross that produced seedlings of exceptional quality. She crossed Galanthus plicatus \u2018Wendy\u2019s Gold\u2019 with a yellow Galanthus nivalis from the Sandersii group. In 2010, the first seedlings from this cross flowerd and almost all of them had yellow flowers, which is by no means a matter of course. Anne summarized the offspring in the so-called Dryad Gold Group. She knew that these plants would set new standards. A total of eight seedlings were selected and got a name. The variety name of all members of this group begins with \"Dryad Gold\".<br \/>Galanthus \u2018Dryad Gold Star\u2019 is a small snowdrop with relatively large flowers.
