'Dorothy Lucking'

Galanthus gracilis 'Dorothy Lucking'

Galanthus 'Dorothy Lucking' is a graceful snowdrop with green "shoulders", as these markings on the upper parts of the outer petals are called among experts.
The snowdrop is named after the galanthophile Dorothy Kathleen Lucking (1923-1998).
Compared to modern varieties, this snowdrop is rather inconspicuous, but because green shoulders are rarely observed in Galanthus gracilis and generally in every snowdrop species, the variety can definitely be considered a rarity.
