'Bünzaue'
Galanthus nivalis 'Bünzaue'
This large-flowered variety comes from the garden of snowdrop collector Anette Bryner in Möriken-Wildegg in the canton of Aargau in Switzerland. It was named at the beginning of March 2022 after a floodplain located along the "Bünz" stream not far from Anette Bryner's home. This landscape has a diverse flora and fauna and serves as a local recreation area for the inhabitants of the region. Galanthus nivalis 'Bünzaue' flowers relatively late in the year and has extremely shapely flowers with attractive markings at the tips of the outer petals. It is vigorous and impresses with its flower size, which can easily compete with well-known nivalis varieties such as 'Angelina' or 'Hugh Mackenzie'. A wonderful variety from one of the largest snowdrop collections in Switzerland.
