Galanthus hybr. ‘Elizabeth Benfield’

Galanthus 'Elizabeth Benfield' is a snowdrop hybrid with Galanthus gracilis as parent. From this species it has inherited the characteristic pattern of the inner petals and the grey, narrow and upright growing leaves. The variety is vigorous and quickly produces larger tuffs through vegetative propagation via daughter bulbs.

Galanthus 'Elizabeth Benfield' was first sold by the English nursery Monksilver Nursery in Cottenham, Cambridge. The variety is named after an employee of the Monksilver Nursery.
