'Dryad Gold Bullion'

Galanthus x valentinei ‘Dryad Gold Bullion’

This yellow snowdrop comes from the garden of Anne Wright in Tockwith, a village in North Yorkshire, England. The snowdrop grower and owner of Dryad Nursery is well known in the UK for her miniature daffodils.
Galanthus ‘Dryad Gold Bullion’ is the result of a cross from the very beginning of Anne’s snowdrop passion in 2006. She crossed Galanthus plicatus ‘Wendy’s Gold’ with a yellow Galanthus nivalis from the Sandersii group. In 2010 the first seedlings from this cross flowered and fortunately almost all of them were yellow, which is by no means a matter of course. The Dryad Gold Group was born. Under this name Anne summarizes all seedlings of this cross, eight of which have been named and all of their names begin with "Dryad Gold".
Galanthus ‘Dryad Gold Bullion’ is a pretty small plant, but with relatively large flowers. The yellow color develops most intensely outdoors.
All members of the Dryad Gold Group are good garden plants that multiply well over side bulbs.
