'Fieldgate Forte'

Galanthus hybrid ‘Fieldgate Forte’

This hybrid was raised by Colin Mason in the late 1990s. One parent of this variety is 'Modern Art', from which the genes for the elongated spathe also come. This characteristic is typical of all snowdrops that can be traced back to Galanthus nivalis 'Scharlockii'.

This vigorous variety has beautiful markings on the outer petals, which are particularly attractive on young plants. Older plants usually have a larger proportion of white. The inner petals are almost completely dark green.
