LDR-Group

Galanthus nivalis LDR-Group

This group of snowdrops was bred by Swiss-Drops from parent plants that have an attractive yellow marking on the inner petals. The plants also usually have very intensely blue-green coloured foliage, which contrasts strongly with the light orange markings on the inner petals.
Another characteristic that some representatives of the LDR group have is a green band at the upper edge of the inner markings. This feature is stable and reappears every year.
In direct comparison with the well-known variety 'Blonde Inge', the flowering time of the representatives of the LDR group starts much earlier. The flowers are of better substance and size. The plants are also noticeably taller.
