'Trumps'
Galanthus hybrid ‘Trumps’
The well-known snowdrop variety 'Trumps' is considered to be the oldest seedling to descend from 'Trym'. This snowdrop is popular with collectors because it is very vigorous.
This hybrid has green markings on the outer petals that are typical for Trym seedlings. Usually these are elongated spots tapering towards the top, the length of which can vary significantly. The pagoda-shaped flowers are shapely and appear comparatively early in the year.
Galanthus 'Trumps' was found in 1999 by well-known snowdrop expert Matt Bishop in John Morley's garden. Since then, the plant has become part of many snowdrop collections in Europe.
