'Corfu Lime'
Galanthus reginae-olgae ‘Corfu Lime’
As the name of this snowdrop variety implies, it has its genetic roots on the island of Corfu. This northernmost of all the Greek islands is known for its abundance of plants. The Queen Olga snowdrop (Galanthus reginae-olgae) mainly colonises the northern part of the island.
‘Corfu Lime’ is one of those snowdrops that can be recognised at any time due to its special flower characteristics. The ovary has a rough surface and a yellow-green colour. This contrasts strongly with the dark green inner markings. A combination that is very rare in snowdrops.
Galanthus ‘Corfu Lime’ is the result of the breeding programme of Yanik Neff from Switzerland and Edgar Wills from the Netherlands. The variety is very vigorous and was first offered for sale in 2025.
