'Ingrid Bauer'

Galanthus hybrid 'Ingrid Bauer'

Galanthus ‘Ingrid Bauer’ is a robust and vigorous snowdrop from the garden of Rudi Bauer in Odenthal, Germany. He named the variety after his wife Ingrid Bauer in 2007. Rudi Bauer is one of the most famous Galanthophiles in Germany. After Günther Waldorf's death, he organized the Nettetaler Schneeglöckchentage (Nettetal Snowdrop Days) together with Günther's wife Marie Luise Waldorf. Galanthus 'Ingrid Bauer' has wide-open flowers and a special mark on the inner petals with a light green upper part and a dark green lower part, which is typical for hybrids between Galanthus elwesii and Galanthus nivalis.
