'Madeleine'
Galanthus plicatus ‘Madeleine’
Galanthus ‘Madeleine’ was found as a seedling in the Monksilver Nursery by the owner Joe Sharman. Joe propagated the plant and named the variety after his niece Madeleine.
The yellow colour of the flower can vary widely and is dependent on environmental factors and the composition of the soil. The colour of the inner petals is usually brighter than the greenish-yellow ovary.
Galanthus 'Madeleine' is extremely vigorous and quickly grows into large clumps. Therefore, the variety is well suited for the garden and can also be recommended to beginners.
Instead of ‘Madeleine’, the spelling "Madelaine" appears every now and then, which is wrong.
