Galanthus hybrid ‘Treasure Island’

Galanthus ‘Treasure Island 'is probably the largest-flowered yellow snowdrop ever. It comes from the garden of the late snowdrop enthusiast Veronica Cross. One spot on her property had a particularly rich variety of snowdrop seedlings, where, for example, the attractive variety 'Pieces of Eight' was found. Veronica Cross called this place "Treasure Island". Later she named this wonderful yellow flowered beauty after the place where it was found. In 2016 a single bulb was sold on a well-known auction platform for £687.
